It is time we transform our education system to unequivocally center equity, community, and youth empowerment. The current education system was developed for standardization and narrow views of success, aimed at outcomes that are no longer aligned to the world we live in or want. For decades, there have been small pockets of learning environments approaching who approach learning in wholly different ways and producing produce incredible, capable, and confident young people. We must move beyond these pockets to make equitable, learner-centered experiences available to every child and family.
