Mr. Jeff Schneider serves as the Superintendent for the Hastings Public Schools in Hastings, NE. Hastings Public serves approximately 3600 students in grades pre-k through 12. Jeff has spent all 27 years of his career at Hastings Public in the following positions:
Middle School Math Teacher: 1994-2002
Middle School Assistant Principal: 2002 – 2005
Middle School Principal: 2005-2009
Director of Finance: 2009-2019
Superintendent: 2019- present
During his tenure as an administrator at HPS, Mr. Schneider has been involved in three successful bond campaigns in 2006, 2014, and 2019 in addition to a successful levy-override election in 2018. Jeff and his wife Abby have been married since 1998 and have a son who was born in 2007.
